DENT ESTET reconfirms its leading position on the dental market
With a turnover of 107.6 million lei in 2021, 60% higher compared to 2020

Bucharest, May 9, 2022: The DENT ESTET Group, part of the MedLife Medical System, reconfirms its position as an established leader in the Romanian dental services market, recording a turnover of RON 107.6 million in 2021, 60% higher compared to 2020 (RON 67.1 million).
The pace of growth at group level was unprecedented, supported by the opening of a new clinic and strategic acquisitions; a 64% increase in revenues at the Brașov clinic and 57.5% at Sibiu; the evolution of the number of individual patients; the increase in the number of medical team to 145 (+38% vs 2020), support team to 314 (+31% vs 2020) and dental units to 86 (+49% vs 2020).

DENT ESTET reached three other important cities in the country: Ploiești, where we built a new clinic with an investment of €1.7 million, Cluj-Napoca, thanks to a strong partnership with Stomestet, the clinic founded by Dr. Smaranda Buduru and Dr. Rareș Buduru, and Oradea, through the acquisition of Oradent by Dr. Costea. Cca. 60% increase in revenues for the DENT ESTET clinics in Brașov and Sibiu
The Krondent clinic in Brasov, the first acquisition in the DENT ESTET portfolio, recorded a 64% increase in operating revenues in its first year of belonging to the leading group of the Romanian dental market, from RON 4.7 million in 2020 to RON 7.7 million in 2020.
DENT ESTET Sibiu, a greenfield investment launched in 2018, has also recorded significant growth. Thus, the adult dental services clinic reported an organic growth in operating revenues of 57.5% in 2021, compared to 2020, exceeding RON 8.9 million.
Complex cases in implantology and aesthetic dentistry top treatment demand
In 2021 Romanians are paying more attention to dental implants and dental aesthetics services, with the DENT ESTET Implant Division and Advanced Orthodontic Division being two of the main growth segments. Thanks to the expertise of the team of doctors and investments in safety measures and digitalization, the DENT ESTET clinics were the choice of more and more Romanians when opting for complex oral rehabilitation plans, 20% higher compared to 2020.
Moreover, in the context of a pandemic year, Romanians understood the consequences that oral health has on overall health and complied with regular check-ups with their dentist, so that the group's total number of individual patients increased by 11% in 2021 compared to 2020.
Group-wide, the number of individual patients reached around 38,800, showing significant growth compared to the first pandemic year. Premium dental services to the corporate sector were also a focus in DENT ESTET's business, so that all patients enjoy the benefits of access to the latest technology, super-specialization of the medical team and dedicated preventive programs.
Education and digitalization, pillars of the investment strategy
The investment in education, through the training of future specialists, clinic managers and programs to support vulnerable communities, has been one of the pillars of DENT ESTET's activity in 2021.
Together with the George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology in Târgu Mureș, DENT ESTET has set up a unique project in the sphere of education, investing 80,000 euros in the renovation and equipment of a laboratory within Faculty of Dentistry.
The Group has continued its policy of investing in digitalization and technologization of services, due to the major benefits for the patient: increased accuracy in diagnosis, lack of pain, high comfort in the dental office, speed in the execution of works.
