DENT ESTET - CSR

DENT ESTET started with a promise: to revolutionize the way dentistry is practiced in Romania and to provide patients with an exceptional experience.

A promise transformed into responsibility. Towards people, future generations, communities, and society. That is why community involvement, investment in education, and innovation are fundamental pillars of our CSR strategy.

Social involvement with an impact on people's health

"Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality." – Abraham Lincoln

For DENT ESTET, social responsibility means facilitating access to quality medical care even for those in vulnerable categories, involving the team in projects aimed at improving the quality of life in the community, and actively contributing to humanitarian causes.

Partnerships with humanitarian organizations such as Save the Children Romania, Magic Association, and Ajungem Mari are among the important CSR projects conducted by DENT ESTET over the years.

Association „Save the Children” Romania

For children from vulnerable groups and their families, access to quality dental services is often impossible. The need for oral care is extremely high, as dental health is vital for the overall health of the body. Children need regular visits to the dentist from a young age, as a point of demineralization can turn into a deep cavity in just a few months.

DENT ESTET joined the Save the Children community in 2006, and over the 18 years of partnership, more than 3000 children from vulnerable communities have benefited from free dental services and oral care kits.

DENT ESTET clinics offer dental consultations, treatments, and prophylaxis services for these children within the educational programs developed by Save the Children in Bucharest and Timiș.

Moreover, by participating annually in the charity event "Christmas Tree Festival," DENT ESTET periodically contributes to fundraising for educational programs that guarantee equal access to education for children from vulnerable groups.

"For children from vulnerable groups, access to a dentist has become a luxury they cannot afford, even though the need is very high, and sometimes lengthy interventions are needed to resolve the issues. We thank Dr. Oana Taban and the extraordinary team at DENT ESTET for their support. When they come to the DENT ESTET 4 Kids offices, they receive the best services and excellent results from the dental interventions performed." - Gabriela Alexandrescu, Executive President of Save the Children Romania.

Foundation „Open Hearts”

The „Open Hearts” Foundation supports children and teenagers from foster care centers, as well as children who go through major difficulties, even if they live with their families.

For almost 13 years, we have been providing emergency dental treatment for children within this foundation.

"Ajungem Mari" Program

"Ajungem MARI" is a program of the Lindenfeld Association that supports the long-term education of children and young people from foster care centers and disadvantaged backgrounds. Quality dental care is among the real needs of children in the protection system.

DENT ESTET has been supporting the children within the association since 2017, offering them free dental treatments to ensure optimal dental health.

Magic Association

In 2021, DENT ESTET joined the MagicHELP project, initiated by the Magic Association, to support children fighting serious illnesses, such as cancer, and their families.

Through the MagicHELP app, doctors from DENT ESTET 4 KIDS clinics, specially trained to work with children who need more time to get comfortable with the dentist, constantly offer complex consultations and specialized dental treatments in clinics in Bucharest, Sibiu, Timișoara, and Ploiești. Thus, children have access to specialist consultations, prophylaxis, endodontic, periodontal, and orthodontic treatments.

People before being doctors

Being a doctor at DENT ESTET means not only treating teeth but also bringing comfort and contributing to a better future for all. For many doctors in the DENT ESTET team, personal involvement goes far beyond the dental office threshold. In recent years, we have shown that when we join forces, we can create real and lasting changes.

Starting in 2021, we have actively participated in the "Dăm startul la viață" project. In 2021, 24 team members joined the cause supported by the Baby Care Sibiu Association, United Hands Sibiu Association, E.M.M.A. Organization (Eternal Maternal Miracle Comfort), and Unii pentru Alții Association, for a noble objective: acquiring a NAVA neonatal ventilator to equip the SCJU Sibiu Maternity.

Strategic partnerships with cultural institutions

A healthy smile is not only an expression of beauty but also an essential element for the confidence and vitality of every artist. At DENT ESTET, we believe that every artist deserves to express their talent freely and shine on stage, knowing their health is in the hands of highly skilled professionals.

Through partnerships with the Radu Stanca National Theater in Sibiu, Toma Caragiu National Theater and Paul Constantinescu Philharmonic in Ploiești, Ioan Slavici Classical Theater in Arad, and renowned artists from the Bucharest theater scene, we not only offer advanced dental treatments but also actively contribute to the well-being of the artistic community. We encourage the artistic community to pay attention to oral health and enjoy the benefits of a healthy smile.

"DENT ESTET entered my life on a spring day, many years ago, due to severe tooth pain. Seneca said, 'Man digs his grave with his teeth!' It's true! Healthy teeth make you beautiful, happy, and cheerful! DENT ESTET has become my reliable friend. Every time I enter their beautiful and elegant offices, I feel the harmony and health these young and very skilled doctors offer. And this sponsorship that shares so much with those around! Choose DENT ESTET and you will see how much science, generosity, and care for people exist in these clinics. It's Wonderland! And I am delighted that these 18 clinics represent, in fact, a true university of exceptional dentists" - actress Rodica Mandache.

"For five years, the Radu Stanca National Theater Sibiu, FITS, the Sibiu Theater School, and I, personally, have developed a dialogue and a strategic relationship with DENT ESTET. The meeting with Oana and Cristi Taban was the first step in creating a platform involving all their friends: managers, doctors, etc. Every time, we thought about how to build something good for people. Over time, almost all actors of the Radu Stanca National Theater, and not only, have benefited from the services of DENT ESTET specialists in Sibiu and Bucharest. So have their children.

I want to thank the DENT ESTET team for their involvement in the Constantin Chiriac Awards project. Since 2019, the children from Prisăcani, my birthplace, receive tablets from DENT ESTET every year. If we could gather the sea of emotion, smiles, and joy seen on these children's faces - many have no mother, no father, live with their grandparents - nothing can be more beautifully quantified than the fact that these children have a future thanks to these awards. They have a chance for a new beginning and a better life, but most importantly, the power to develop. DENT ESTET's involvement in the future of Prisăcani children brings hope, joy, and especially a better future for them" - Constantin Chiriac, General Director of Radu Stanca National Theater Sibiu and President of FITS.

Investing in education – the key to transforming society

"Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world." – Nelson Mandela

For DENT ESTET, contributing to education has been a fundamental pillar of our CSR strategy from the beginning. We promote oral health education through major investments aimed at increasing awareness of the importance of oral health and facilitating access to top-level professional training for students, young specialists at the beginning of their careers, and experienced doctors interested in deepening their knowledge to provide the best treatment solutions for patients.

"Growingbig and healthy smiles"

"Growing big and healthy smiles" is a comprehensive education and prevention program implemented, for the first time, by DENT ESTET through the doctors at DENT ESTET 4 KIDS clinics.

Initially named "Visiting the Tooth Fairy," the program was launched in 2008 and dedicated to public and private schools and kindergartens. By facilitating the presence of children in our clinics, we aimed to increase responsibility regarding oral health among children and parents. We learned together that we should visit the dentist from the eruption of the first tooth, that children's teeth should be cared for differently than adults', that there are personalized treatments based on age category, that we should start orthodontic treatments from adolescence, so that, when we grow up, we enjoy a bright and healthy smile.

In the 15 years of existence of DENT ESTET 4 KIDS clinics, over 55 schools and kindergartens have partnered within this program, and over 8,000 children have benefited annually from our specialists' advice.

Dental Care Parenting Workshop

Knowing that parents are exposed to information from various, often contradictory sources, we created a special program for them in 2008. Parents received concrete and accurate details about how to care for their children's smiles, based on their age.

Additionally, we focus our investments on programs educating about the importance of periodic and appropriate dental prevention and prophylaxis, as well as visits to the dental office at least twice a year.

Investments for the future of dentistry in Romania

"Being an expert means always being a student." - Jack Welch, former President of General Electric

Active involvement in the education of young people interested in becoming dentists is an essential step in building a solid future in Romanian dental medicine. That is why DENT ESTET closely collaborates with specialized faculties.

In 2021, at the invitation of the rector of UMFST in Târgu Mureș, Prof. Dr. Leonard Azamfirei, and the dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Prof. Dr. Cristina Bica, DENT ESTET and the Faculty of Dental Medicine laid the foundation for a unique project in Romania's educational portfolio. Following an investment of over 80,000 euros, more than 1,500 students and resident doctors benefit annually from the new DENT ESTET Laboratory set up within the faculty.

The modern and innovative space created by young architect Ada Tache, with the direct involvement of American artist Karim Rashid, quickly became a symbol of innovation and digitalization in dental medicine and a model for all those who want to truly support the training and education of young specialists in any field.

Reconfigured based on design, technology, and innovation criteria, the DENT ESTET Laboratory - Dental Materials Department is now a top performance space in dental medicine for dozens of students and a benchmark for future generations of dentists.

"With the opening of this laboratory, DENT ESTET becomes part of the Faculty of Dental Medicine. This project has two components: one material, the investment being significant, but just as important is the approach we want to find as a model of good practice. Universities need partners, and those in the private sector need qualified human resources. I hope this laboratory will be a model of good practice that can be replicated elsewhere" - prof. dr. Leonard Azamfirei, rector of UMFST.

"It is a great joy to announce the inauguration of the DENT ESTET laboratory within the Faculty of Dental Medicine in Târgu Mureș, a new, generous, modern, and colorful didactic space. The story and project of this laboratory began with a smile, added to the thousands of DENT ESTET smiles, which guarantee the success of the group of dental clinics that hold the leading position in the country's dental medicine market. Innovative in all branches of dental medicine and traditional partners of our faculty, dr. Oana Taban, founder of DENT ESTET, and Cristian Taban, executive director, once again had the vision, assumed courage, and confidence to launch a unique project in the educational portfolio of dental faculties in Romania. All this so that we, the Faculty of Dental Medicine, can promote performance, and our students benefit from the highest education standards" - prof. dr. Cristina Ioana Bica, dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine in Târgu Mureș.

Educational and mentoring programs for doctors and entrepreneurs

At DENT ESTET, we are promoters of professional excellence in every aspect of our practice. We are distinguished by a culture of sharing and mentoring because we believe that investment in knowledge and experience is key to providing the highest level of medical care.

Our commitment to Excellence means supporting the doctors in the DENT ESTET team in their efforts to improve and stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the field. Through financial and logistical support for participation in international conferences and specialized seminars, we ensure that our doctors have access to the best educational resources. These events offer invaluable opportunities to learn from world-renowned experts, exchange ideas, and bring back innovative knowledge and approaches for the benefit of our patients.

For us, involvement means taking the initiative and assuming responsibility for change. We want the expertise we have accumulated to be a source of inspiration. That is why, in 2013, we created the Dental Office Managers Association (ADOM). Today, we are a community of over 1,800 dental service professionals, active members nationwide.

In its 10 years of activity, the Dental Office Managers Association has contributed to knowledge transfer among modern dentistry professionals by organizing courses such as: Business Master Seminar, Front Desk Officer Seminar, Pediatric Dentistry, Conversational Hypnosis for dentists, and training sessions of the core program, Dental Office Managers School.
