Dr. Mihaela Cristescu and Dr. Oana Taban are part of the first generation of entrepreneurs in Romania who have significantly contributed to the development of the private healthcare system in the country. In 1996, renowned pediatrician Dr. Mihaela Cristescu opened the first clinic of what would become Romania's largest private healthcare provider-MedLife. Three years later, in 1999, dentist Dr. Oana Taban opened the first clinic of the DENT ESTET group, which is now the leader in the dental medicine market in Romania. The partnership between DENT ESTET and MedLife emerged naturally, as a recognition of shared values, respect for the health of Romanians, and a committed, experienced management team. DENT ESTET retained its own management, and the group's activities, currently comprising 18 dental clinics, continue to be led by CEO Dr. Oana Taban.
