Dr Ana Marinescu

Dr Ana Marinescu is a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at the “George Emil Palade” University of Medicine, Pharmacy and Technological Sciences in Târgu Mureș.

For her, choosing medicine came naturally. Growing up in a family of doctors and spending her early years on the university campus in Târgu Mureș, the path to this career was a natural progression.

Her mother, also a specialist orthodontist, was the one who instilled in her a passion for this field. Under her guidance, Ana discovered just how complex and fascinating orthodontics is, and today she considers it one of the most comprehensive branches of dentistry.

Her inspiration stems from her mother’s unceasing curiosity, as well as from the work of international experts whom she follows closely in order to incorporate the latest treatment techniques into her practice.  She also places great value on her collaboration with her colleagues, Dr Liana Andruseac, Dr Diana Mansour and Dr Ștefan Ciobanu, whom she admires for their professionalism and patience.

For Dr Ana Marinescu, a successful treatment means an aesthetic result, but above all a functional and long-lasting one. In an increasingly technology-driven world, she believes that the greatest challenge remains the human aspect: sincere communication and building a relationship of trust with the patient.

She places great emphasis on educating patients, explaining that orthodontics is not just about ‘straight teeth’. The main objective is to correct the bite and the functions of the dental system, thereby ensuring the long-term health of the entire system.

Dr Marinescu successfully uses digital orthodontics and aligner appliances, which she considers essential in modern treatment. However, she does not overlook the importance of traditional methods, based on scientific studies. In her view, there is no such thing as a routine: every patient is unique, and the treatment plan is tailored each time to their specific needs.

In her spare time, Ana is passionate about personal development and everything related to emotional intelligence. She is a curious person who loves travelling, long walks with a good cup of coffee in hand, and spending time with animals. She enjoys trying new experiences and is happy to get involved in small acts of charity whenever she has the chance.
