One of the biggest challenges was identifying courses and lecturers who could provide relevant and practical information. I was fortunate to have Dr Codruța Ciurescu, who holds a Master of Science degree and is Romania’s leading laser specialist, as my mentor; she offered me valuable guidance and inspiration. In periodontology, it is not just about theory, but also about the practical application of methods that make a difference to the patient’s health. Furthermore, convincing patients of the importance of periodontal treatments remains a challenge, as prevention and treatments in this field are often underestimated.

Dento-alveolar surgery is a field that particularly appeals to me. It involves a practical and precise approach, which perfectly complements my work in periodontology, especially in complex cases.

I use the Erbium laser, which offers patients greater comfort by significantly reducing discomfort and healing time. I also use the Florida Probe system for precise digital assessments of gum health. These technologies not only make treatments more effective, but also create a much more positive experience for patients, offering them peace of mind and visible results.

I believe that technology will continue to surprise us with innovations, but at DENT ESTET, we already have access to the most advanced solutions. The impact of this development is enormous, ranging from increased precision to reduced treatment times and greater patient comfort. Our challenge is to choose the right technology for each individual case, taking into account the unique needs of every patient.

Nothing compares to the joy I see on a patient’s face when they smile with confidence after going through a complex course of treatment. It is moving to see how a patient, who was told that ‘it couldn’t be done’, manages to achieve remarkable results. These moments are a reward for the teamwork between doctor and patient.

I would tell them to persevere, not to overlook any detail, however small it may seem, and to treat every patient with empathy. The doctor-patient relationship is the cornerstone of success in this profession.

I want to keep pace with the rapid pace of innovation in dentistry. I aim to gain a deeper understanding of new techniques and technologies so that I can offer my patients the best possible solutions, regardless of the complexity of their cases.

I find peace and inspiration by spending time in nature or travelling with my family. These moments help me recharge my batteries and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
