About

Dr. Bianca Bereczki is a Specialist in Orthodontics and Dento-Facial Orthopedics at DENT ESTET clinics dedicated to orthodontic treatments for adolescents and children. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, and her specialized training in Orthodontics and Dento-Facial Orthopedics was completed through the residency program at the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

In her clinical practice, each treatment plan begins with a complete assessment of the dento-maxillary system, using modern diagnostic technologies, such as digital radiographs, CBCT, 3D intraoral scanning and functional analysis, to identify the optimal orthodontic solution for each patient.

Dr. Bianca Bereczki constantly updates her knowledge by participating in national and international orthodontic courses and congresses and is certified for treatments with Invisalign® and FAS Aligners. She has also furthered her training through dedicated programs, such as the Mirabella Orthodontic Program, Practical Orthodontics, and An Introduction to Tweed Philosophy, aiming to integrate the latest protocols and technologies into orthodontic treatments.

An essential aspect of her work is the trusting relationship built with each patient. She believes that predictable results are achieved through accurate diagnosis, open communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration between specialists, so that each treatment is tailored to the functional and aesthetic needs of the patient.

In her free time, she is passionate about interior design and history, fields that stimulate her creativity and attention to detail.

Interview with Dr. Bianca Bereczki

What inspired you to choose dentistry and, especially, to specialize in orthodontics?

I chose dentistry for the direct and visible impact on patients. Orthodontics, in particular, attracted me because of its complexity and the fact that it requires a long-term vision. It is a specialty where every case tells a story, and the results can transform not only the smile, but also the patient's self-confidence.

What is your favorite part of being an orthodontist, the one that makes you enjoy every day?

I think the moments when the patient smiles without restraint, naturally, for the first time. It is an authentic moment, which cannot be planned and which is seen in their gaze and attitude. It is a special satisfaction to actively participate in such a transformation and to know that you have contributed to a person's well-being.

What small, but surprisingly effective habits really make a difference in orthodontic treatment?

Orthodontics works best as a team effort. While monthly check-ups allow us to monitor progress, the final result is shaped by discipline at home. Attention to nutrition, rigorous hygiene and correct wearing of the appliance are the details that transform a beautiful smile into an excellent one. The success of the treatment depends, equally, on the involvement of the patient.

In your experience, what is the main challenge that patients face during treatment and how do you guide them to successfully overcome it?

Most of the time, progress is slowed down by neglecting small hygiene or behavioral rules. To avoid stagnation, I place great value on education. I try to explain to my patients the real impact of each habit, so that they do not see it as an imposition, but as their personal contribution to the success of the treatment.

How do new technologies help you achieve a harmonious smile and what tools could you not imagine treatments without?

Technology has completely changed the way I practice orthodontics. Intraoral scanning and digital planning allow me to see the outcome before starting treatment and build each stage with precision. The ability to visualize and concretely assess the close relationship between occlusion, mandibular movements and joint pathology through CBCT and Modjaw is revolutionizing orthodontic treatment. It is like turning medicine into a form of architecture - everything becomes more predictable, more personalized and safer for the patient.

Describe a case that is truly special to you.

The most recent is the case of a gentleman who completed the first stage of his oral rehabilitation, namely the orthodontic treatment before the prosthetic stage. The patient was extremely pleased with the transformation of his smile and confessed to me that he received a boost in self-confidence and that he motivated his entire circle of friends to start orthodontic treatment through his personal example. These are the moments that remind you why you chose this profession. Another moment that remained imprinted in my soul was that of an extremely sad little girl. Because of the mean jokes of her classmates about her smile, she didn't even want to go to school. She was the one who asked her parents to bring her to the orthodontist. Once the treatment started, I witnessed an amazing transformation: with each visit, I saw how, along with the straightening of her teeth, her confidence was rebuilt.

If you had to name one person from the DENT ESTET team who inspired you the most in your evolution, who would it be and what impact did they have on your working style?

At DENT ESTET, I was fortunate to be surrounded by doctors who not only practice at a high level, but also generously share their experience. Colleagues like Dr. Liana Andruseac and Dr. Valeria Nechita have always challenged me to remain curious and keep up to date with everything new in the field. I am convinced that such mentorship is what truly makes a difference in a doctor's development.

How does interdisciplinary collaboration work when coordinating a complex case? How does orthodontics harmonize with other specialties to ensure the success of the treatment plan?

Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential. I constantly communicate with doctors from other specialties such as periodontology, surgery or dental prosthetics to establish an integrated and coherent treatment plan. Each stage is carefully coordinated so that the final result is optimal from both a functional and aesthetic point of view. I am always careful to synchronize the next stages of the patient's oral rehabilitation at the appropriate time within the orthodontic treatment so that we can streamline the patient's time and reach the dream smile in the optimal time.

What hobbies help you reconnect with yourself outside of work?

My passion for interior design extends beyond my home. I love creating harmonious spaces so much that I often help my friends with design suggestions. To unwind, I choose swimming, historical documentaries, or long walks in nature. All these moments of relaxation give me the balance I need to return to the office with energy and a clear mind for my patients.
