Philosophy

Dr. Dan Boariu's decision to choose dentistry was influenced by a close friend who constantly spoke about the beauty of the profession and the long-term satisfactions it could offer. He believes it is a profession that requires continuous development and dedication. He is detail-oriented, empathetic, and enjoys building strong relationships with his patients.

The greatest challenge for Dr. Dan Boariu is that patients always come with different and complex medical issues, but his efforts are rewarded when he sees his patients smiling broadly, which is the simplest sign of happiness.

He has been playing volleyball since he was young, a sport also practiced by his father, and he is currently a category II referee.

Questions

Why did you choose a career in dentistry?

I played volleyball for 10 years. This sport disciplined me and made me aware of the importance of teamwork. I dreamed of being a sports teacher and a volleyball referee. A conversation with an acquaintance made me realize that my place is in the dental office and that qualities such as attention to detail, involvement, patience, and ambition to surpass my limits would be useful. Volleyball has remained in my life, and in the meantime, I have also become a referee.

Why did you choose dental aesthetics?

Dental aesthetics fascinates me. It is pure art, and the new smile of the patient is the ultimate reward. In fact, dentistry is a combination of art and science. What I love most about my profession is that I can accompany my patients through all the stages of the complete smile transformation process. Our patients leave the office with more confidence, a positively changed self-image, and even looking a few years younger. Of course, digital technology has reached new heights and helps us greatly in this regard; it is extraordinary what can be achieved in a much shorter time. This metamorphosis of the patient is, in the end, the greatest achievement for me and the team working on the case.

What does the future of dental aesthetics look like?

Dental aesthetics is a branch of dentistry that has developed tremendously in recent times. It stems from the patients' desire to have not only healthy teeth but also an appearance that is as pleasing as possible and harmonized with the face's physiognomy. Technology has evolved, and new techniques, materials, instruments, and equipment have emerged, making it possible to provide quality services to patients. Now, for example, we have the ability to show our patients in advance how their smile will look in the end. The future will belong especially to dental aesthetics, and I firmly believe that innovation in this field is far from over.

Do you have a motto that guides your life?

Work until your idols become your rivals.

What do you love most about your profession?

Dentistry is a profession that requires continuous learning, dedication, and the cultivation of long-term trust between the doctor and the patient. I love the smile and happiness I see on patients' faces at the end of their smile transformation journey.

Why did you choose the DENT ESTET team?

I chose DENT ESTET, and DENT ESTET chose me! The DENT ESTET team is a large family where all members support and trust each other. I work in a large team of specialists in all branches of dentistry, with vast experience and an organizational culture that emphasizes the idea of mentorship. Thus, I can always learn from the best in the field. Additionally, I frequently attend advanced courses and medical events because there is something new to learn in this profession every day.

What is your promise to patients?

I am here for you unconditionally! Moreover, I always assure my patients that they will achieve the best possible results both aesthetically and functionally. I want my patients to feel comfortable with their smile, so I always aim to achieve the most natural results, in line with the patient's physiognomy and expectations.

Tell us about a happy professional moment or one you remember fondly.

At the risk of seeming subjective, I must confess that I worked with great emotion and a sense of responsibility as the coordinating doctor and prosthetist on the case of my mother, Mariana, who also became my patient. My mother already had a beautiful smile; I just intervened to bring it closer to a perfect smile that would match her effervescent personality. At the end of the treatments, my mother, visibly moved, told me that thanks to her new teeth, she feels at least 10 years younger. And indeed, that's true; aesthetic treatments that involve straightening the teeth, changing their shape, and color offer a more youthful appearance to our patients.

How would patients characterize you?

I am often perceived as a handsome young man, and then the people around me and the patients realize that I am actually an ambitious young man who delivers, and in the end, the patient's broad smile is my business card.

Tell us a few things about yourself.

I have qualities and flaws. I am very sociable but also shy sometimes. I believe in laughter therapy; I always have a joke in my pocket or a verse from a song that fits any situation. I like to be surrounded by true friends because friendships are cultivated over time.
