Dentist – DENTAL AESTHETICS
CERTIFIED DIGITAL SMILE DESIGN®
Dr. Daniela Georgescu has been part of the DENT ESTET team since 2008. She chose to specialize in dental aesthetics as a natural continuation of her artistic side. Over time, she has deepened her approach to dental aesthetic treatments by attending courses and practice internships alongside internationally renowned figures, including Dr. Christian Coachman, Dr. Galip Gurel, and Dr. Mauro Fradeani.
She believes that, in addition to practice and participating in key events, the culture of information sharing within the team has always helped her find new angles in approaching the cases she manages. Dr. Daniela Georgescu is a team-spirited doctor, and the performances she achieves together with her colleagues in multidisciplinary case treatments are truly extraordinary.
She is a professional who uses the latest digital technologies daily to personalize each treatment with veneers or dental crowns. She believes that continuous participation in world-renowned congresses and conferences in dental aesthetics and prosthetics is always an inexhaustible resource for learning and validating the work she responsibly performs every day.
Empathetic by nature, she is always cheerful and builds an open relationship with patients from the first visit. She believes that openness and eliminating communication barriers are essential to achieving the desired smile.
She is the mother of two boys, practices dentistry alongside her husband, Dr. Alexandru Georgescu, and spends almost all her free time with her family or practicing her passion for sculpture and painting.
My approach to Dental Aesthetics treats advanced technology as an indispensable extension of clinical practice in today's digital context. I am continuously dedicated to professional improvement through specialized courses that harmoniously integrate digital technology into clinical practice. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of experts amplifies my ability to innovate and provide patients with exceptional treatments.
I have been part of the DENT ESTET team since 2008, which means 16 years, and I have gathered numerous valuable memories during this period. When I joined the team, I was still a student, and since then, I have spent most of my life working and evolving among patients. It is the place where I have grown not only as a doctor but also as a person, and where I have built a beautiful family, of which I am extremely proud. As we approach the 25th anniversary of DENT ESTET with emotion, I reflect on every sincere smile I have had the privilege to create. Each has represented a significant transformation, not only for the patient but also for me, confirming my dedication to dental aesthetics.
Since high school, I have been drawn to the visual arts, with a special predilection for sculpture. Although my professional path did not initially follow this artistic direction, I did not stray far from the sphere of creativity. I believe that Dental Aesthetics represents, in essence, a form of art. Dedication, passion, and meticulousness are essential to bringing life and character to each treatment I perform.
Thus, even though sculpture remains a personal hobby, I am delighted that I can continue to express myself artistically through my profession, transforming smiles and impacting lives in both an aesthetic and functional way.
Communication and empathy.
Communication is the main element on which the doctor-patient relationship is based. The interaction between the two is not just a therapeutic act, but also a guide through which the doctor can create an ideal smile for the patient. The quicker the relationship is established, the more harmoniously the treatment plan develops.
I try to empathize with each patient's needs, listen carefully, and understand their fears and expectations.
Collaboration in complex treatment plans is essential, and I have had the chance to work alongside an exceptional multidisciplinary team at DENT ESTET. This has had a positive impact on my professional development. Patients are often impressed by our ability to offer complex and integrated treatments within the same clinic, which greatly simplifies the treatment process and increases their comfort.
At the beginning of my career, I had the privilege of finding mentors among experienced colleagues who guided and supported me. When the roles reversed and I became a mentor myself, I realized how valuable it is to have someone to guide you. This cycle of mutual learning and support improves individual skills and strengthens the entire team.
Being a mentor is not complicated if you understand that you don't have to create a clone. You just need to be willing to share your experience and be a source of inspiration for those who are starting out.
So, I believe the best thing you can do is be yourself. Keep your pace and work style, teach others by example, and those who watch you will be inspired by the passion you bring to your work.
My first mentor was my husband, Dr. Alexandru Georgescu. I am very proud that he is also the first doctor with whom Dr. Oana Taban, a symbol of professionalism and dedication, started what is now DENT ESTET, 25 years ago. Together with the DENT ESTET team, they have set a standard of excellence that continues to inspire an entire generation of doctors.
Aesthetics is a variety of beauty, and determining beauty is subjective. Therefore, it is perhaps the most challenging branch of dentistry.
To succeed, you should not limit yourself to the medical procedures alone. You must be open in communicating with the patient, eliminate barriers, and understand their desires and expectations.
The patient is not a passive spectator of the medical act; they are active throughout the treatment. Smiles are created for patients, not for doctors.
Reading one of the interviews of the great actor Paul Chiribuță, whom I have the honor of being a doctor for, I was captivated by one of his questions: “What is the artwork of an actor? If the painter has the painting, the sculptor, the sculpture, what does the actor create?”
I reflected on the parallels between the smiles of great actors, who dedicate themselves to the audience on stage, and our art, Dental Aesthetics. The unforgettable moments are those we, the doctors, have the privilege to create: smiles that will shine on the big stages and move entire audiences. Each smile we "sculpt" in the clinic becomes part of a story.
I always choose to spend it with family and friends. When I’m not around them, my attention turns to art. Whenever I have time, I try to disconnect and recharge by doing what I love.
My passion for painting hasn’t faded but has made room for other hobbies, such as traveling.
My husband, Dr. Alex Georgescu, and our children, and I love to travel, discover new places, and take every opportunity to spend time together.
All these discoveries fill us with energy through the explosion of information: different architectures, new behaviors and traditions, breathtaking landscapes. All of these help Alex and me maintain the enthusiasm and passion that all our patients have come to expect.
