About

Dr. Mihai Ioan holds dual degrees, having graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine at UMF Carol Davila, Bucharest, and the Faculty of General Medicine at UMF Victor Babeș, Timișoara. He is currently a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the DENT ESTET clinics in Bucharest. Given the complexity of this field, he has decided to pursue a second specialization in pediatric surgery. 

His scope of work includes diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions in the oro-maxillofacial region. 

During his professional training, Dr. Mihai Ioan had the opportunity to deepen his expertise in treating facial malformations by participating in congresses, courses, and internships in Romania, Italy, the UK, and India at the Craniofacial Institute Hyderabad. 

In addition to treating adult patients, he also treats infants and adolescents, presenting new challenges with each case: “This diversity keeps me engaged and drives me to stay current with the scientific world.” 

From his university years, his path led him to surgery, and through hard work, he has achieved each of his goals. Our doctor has enjoyed the support and trust of his family, as well as the privilege of having exceptional mentors, for whom he is very grateful. 

The greatest challenge lies in integrating functionality into facial aesthetics in a way that does not betray the human intervention on the face. This involves not only technical skills and understanding of anatomy but also anticipating developmental directions and observing the subtleties of facial harmony. “For me, this challenge becomes the source of the greatest professional satisfaction. When the patient feels that the changes are not only visible but also authentic, I believe I have achieved that balance between natural beauty and the effectiveness of the medical act, which, for me, is the essence of the profession.” 

In his daily practice, he relies on qualities such as meticulousness, empathy, patience, and decisiveness. Over the years, he has refined these traits in interactions with both adult and pediatric patients. These characteristics help him establish clear and safe treatment directions. 

Regarding technology, Dr. Mihai Ioan shared that he always seeks to use the most appropriate tools to achieve quick, safe, and predictable results. 

When not traveling, he enjoys the artistic scene in Bucharest: film, theater, concerts, or art exhibitions. He also dedicates time to social or volunteer projects. Most importantly, he cherishes the time spent with loved ones.
