Dr. Paul BRĂNUȚIU

Dentist - DENTAL AESTHETICS

About

Dr. Paul Brănuțiu is a primary care dentist specializing in General Dentistry. He graduated from the Victor Babeș Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara. He chose dentistry as his field of work to honor his family's medical tradition and because of his inclination towards the art of aesthetics. The challenges come from the uniqueness of each case, as only by personalizing treatment solutions can he offer the patient what they want and need. However, what cannot be expressed in words is the sense of satisfaction he gets from the results, the happiness, and the gratitude of the patient. Over time, his favorite activities have turned into passions, which include motorbike rides and mountain biking. He enjoys spending time with friends and socializing with new people.

Philosophy

Perseverance and empathy towards patients have helped me achieve everything I have desired, both personally and professionally. I constantly focus on exceeding my limits and strive to succeed in everything I do.

Questions

You are a third-generation dentist. What has this meant for you?

From a young age, I was exposed to the field of dentistry, as my father let me play with impression materials and forceps when I visited the office. Being a third-generation dentist, I felt the need to carry the torch forward and to a higher level, honoring my predecessors.

What is unique in your dental practice?

With the clinical experience I have accumulated, I have started to be requested for complex cases. I refer to oral rehabilitations with implants and severe bone atrophy cases. I have had the opportunity to be part of the DENT ESTET team of implantologists, benefiting from the guidance of Prof. Dr. Paulo Maló, from whom I learn something new with each visit.

What was a defining moment in your career?

For me, every treated patient is defining. I have something to learn or improve from each one. However, the most significant moment in my career was my mentor, Prof. H.C. Dr. Victor Valea, who opened the way for me and guided my steps towards this career that brings me daily satisfaction.

How do you manage patients' expectations?

To manage patients' expectations effectively, you first need to listen to their concerns and try to put yourself in their situation. Empathy with the patient is essential in the medical profession. Additionally, using the latest techniques, such as intraoral or extraoral scanning to visualize future results, helps me significantly in translating patients' expectations into the long-awaited final result.

How was the transition from individual dental practice to working in a multidisciplinary team?

The transition from individual practice to working in a multidisciplinary team happened very quickly at the beginning of my career, which helped me have support at the start and gave me the push to exceed my limits. Although it may seem difficult at first, once achieved, it brings only benefits to both the patient and the doctor in achieving the proposed clinical objectives.

What has joining the DENT ESTET team meant for you?

Joining the DENT ESTET family has exponentially increased patient benefits through state-of-the-art technologies such as the intraoral scanner, dental microscope, and dental laser. Additionally, the benefits for medical staff include access to superior information and a perfect team spirit, all in the service of the patient. The know-how based on years of experience is the greatest benefit enjoyed primarily by patients, but also by doctors alike.

How does the clinic team support your practice?

A very important aspect of my usual practice, if not the most important, is the clinic team. Composed of specialist doctors, they complement and support me in offering patients treatments at the highest standards. The doctor-assistant-patient team, along with the support team from Front Desk - Dental Office Manager - Patient Care Coordinator, are crucial for the success of dental treatment, both clinically and in terms of the relationship the patient develops with us in the clinic.

How do you maintain a balance between profession and leisure time?

Maintaining a balance between profession and leisure time is very difficult to achieve. Depending on where I am, I focus on that task to have the highest performance. As in any field of activity, but especially in the medical field where conditions do not consider time and space, leisure time often overlaps with work because a proper treatment requires decisions that are often long-term.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies involve activities requiring manual skills - mechanics and motorcycling occupy a good part of my free time. Additionally, spending time with family and engaging in outdoor activities together is the best therapy.
