Cristina Antoneanu

Cristina Antoneanu is a psychologist at the DENT ESTET 4 KIDS clinics in Bucharest, where she helps children to better understand and manage their emotions, including any fears associated with dental visits and treatments.

In her work, she aims to create a safe space where children feel listened to and understood. Through age-appropriate communication and interventions that involve the whole family where necessary, she helps to build a better relationship between the child, their parent and the medical team.

Her desire to work directly with people and to support them during difficult times led her to study at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Bucharest. Her training includes a Master’s degree in the assessment, counselling and psychotherapy of children, couples and families, training in experiential unification psychotherapy, and supervision in clinical psychology. Her professional experience encompasses working with children, adults, couples and families.

When working with young patients, Cristina Antoneanu focuses on helping the child discover their own inner resources and on transforming fear into an experience that they can understand and manage. Therapeutic stories and activities tailored to children’s worlds are just some of the tools she uses to help them express their emotions.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, travelling, skiing and spending time with children, discovering the world through the spontaneity and joy characteristic of their age.
