What is the Florida Probe system?
The Florida Probe system utilizes the Perio FP32 software and is used by periodontists for the detection and diagnosis of periodontal disease.
With the Florida Probe, the dentist can independently create a digital chart of the periodontal status in just a few minutes, without the help of an assistant. The accuracy of the result is extremely high and objective, regardless of the dentist performing the test. The precision is 0.2 mm, which helps the periodontist provide a correct diagnosis and treatment plan.
The entire reading process is automated, unlike traditional periodontal measurements where the dentist interprets and estimates the depth of periodontal pockets. Additionally, the examination can be customized to include other valuable medical information such as medical history, type of dentition, risk level, gingival recession, bleeding on probing, pocket depth, dental plaque, tooth mobility, or final diagnosis.
The Florida Probe System provides an exceptional clinical record that allows the dentist to create a periodontal treatment plan, which may include deep cleaning, the use of antimicrobial medications, root planing, and laser treatments. It can also be used to monitor the progress of the disease and the results of treatments performed, with the software automatically comparing current periodontal pocket levels with those measured in the past.
