Digital dentistry is a dynamic and innovative field, offering an ever-expanding range of treatment solutions for cosmetic dentistry.
The 3D facial scanner, the latest technology introduced at DENT ESTET clinics, makes it possible to tailor the treatment plan to the patient’s facial features.
This 3D facial scanner is an upgrade from 2D diagnostic photography, as the dentist and dental technician have access to your digital 3D portrait, allowing them to plan your future smile with much greater accuracy.
Developed by a South Korean company that has been contributing to the field of digital dentistry worldwide since 2004, the RAYFace® facial scanner is one of the innovations setting a new standard in dental imaging solutions.
In oral rehabilitation treatment, whether we are talking about veneers, crowns or fixed prosthetics, 3D facial scanning gives the dentist the opportunity to plan the future work based on the patient’s facial features. A personalised treatment plan, guided by facial characteristics, means you can enjoy a new, natural smile that enhances your appearance.
From diagnosis to treatment, the RAYFace® 3D facial scanner is a device compatible with the digital workflow integrated into DENT ESTET clinics.

It takes just 0.5 seconds to capture your most natural smile in 3D. Using six high-resolution cameras, facial contours and definition are rendered instantly.
The technology built into this scanner makes it possible to overlay all the examinations in the patient’s file – such as CT scans, 3D intraoral scans and 3D facial scans – to create a dental avatar of the patient.
RayFace forms the basis for a comprehensive treatment solution guided by the patient’s facial features. As such, this scanner uses the information obtained from the patient’s 3D facial scan to guide or personalise treatment.
By providing a quick and accurate diagnosis, the dentist will be able to create a 3D simulation of the smile design, ensuring predictability of the final result. The data collected by the RAYFace® 3D facial scanner is integrated with data from the intraoral scanner, CBCT and the Modjaw™ 4D scanner.
RAYFace® is an effective communication tool that will benefit your relationship with your dentist. The smile preview is the moment when you can discuss any aspect of your future prosthetic work.
Once the planning phase of the oral rehabilitation is complete, the dentist will provide the Aspen digital dental laboratory with all the data required to produce the prosthetic work (veneers, crowns, inlays, onlays, full-mouth prosthetics for All-on-4®).
The laboratory is equipped with CAD/CAM technology, which means that the design of the future restorations is computer-assisted and the manufacturing process is also computerised. CAD/CAM technology enables the laboratory to deliver prosthetic restorations that are aesthetically advanced, durable, customised and compatible with the patient’s data, under the coordination of the team of expert ceramists at the Aspen laboratory.
