WaterLase® dental laser

What is WaterLase®?

The WaterLase® laser, developed by Biolase, the most innovative brand in the construction and development of dental lasers, offers patients a comfortable experience and significantly faster healing times compared to traditional instruments. DENT ESTET is proud to provide this technology to its patients.

WaterLase® is an internationally acclaimed innovation in digital dentistry, contributing to safe and precise treatments while significantly enhancing patient comfort by reducing pain and the number of visits to the dentist.

WaterLase® combines water, air, and laser energy to treat both simple and complex dental conditions. It replaces the drill, turbine, and scalpel, and during procedures, it continuously sprays water to keep the tooth hydrated, preventing high temperatures and ensuring a painless treatment.

Dental treatments using WaterLase:

Dental implant procedures

WaterLase® can be successfully used in dental implant procedures. It allows extremely precise incisions necessary for laser-assisted dental implant treatment and features the Repair Implant™ function, which treats moderate and severe peri-implantitis conditions that can affect the implant.

The Repair Implant™ function provides access to subgingival implants and between sutures and is effective in removing over 98% of biofilm from the affected implant. It does not affect the titanium surface (the screw) or significantly alter its temperature. The laser is effective in decontaminating and saving the dental implant.

Endodontic treatments

In cases of root canal infections, WaterLase® destroys bacteria inaccessible to other instruments and treats the affected tissue.

Periodontal therapy

For periodontal conditions, WaterLase® offers a less invasive treatment compared to traditional methods, involves less bleeding and swelling, significantly reduces the risk of infections, removes necrotic tissue, and eliminates anaerobic germs.

Surgical dental procedures

WaterLase® is frequently used in surgical procedures. The laser enhances blood circulation and accelerates the healing of the treated surgical area. Precise incisions and the treatment of peri-implantitis result in a success rate of up to 100%.

Soft tissue interventions

WaterLase® can also be used to treat soft tissue conditions such as canker sores or herpes. It reduces the pain of these conditions and, with multiple laser treatment sessions, significantly reduces recurrence.

WaterLase® is recommended for treating diabetic patients, those with cardiovascular diseases, children, and pregnant women due to its benefits and minimally invasive action, practically eliminating the risk of complications for these sensitive patient categories.

Who can perform treatments with the WaterLase® laser?

Dental treatments assisted by the WaterLase® laser can only be performed by a certified and experienced dentist in this type of procedure. Additionally, the dentist determines which treatments will use this technology and the frequency of its use based on the patient's needs.
