Before & After: EMAX dental veneers and Straumann® implants
A cosmetic and functional restoration, digitally planned and tailored to the patient’s specific needs
Gavriil Pinte, a theatre and film director, chose DENT ESTET to carry out a comprehensive treatment programme, tailored to his aesthetic and functional needs. For a professional whose work is closely linked to expressiveness and engaging with an audience, a smile is a natural part of one’s personal image.
For Gavriil P., the DENT ESTET medical team drew up a comprehensive treatment plan, which included six Straumann® BLX-SLActive® dental implants, 13 EMAX Ivoclar dental veneers, eight ceramic-on-implant crowns and two zirconia-backed ceramic crowns. Preparing the implant site required a sinus lift and bone reconstruction procedures.
The shape, proportions and functionality of the future restorations were analysed using Digital Smile Design, ModJaw technology and the 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner. The result is a harmonious smile and balanced mastication, achieved through the integration of surgical, implantological and prosthetic treatments.
Gavriil P. had missing teeth in the lateral areas, prosthetic work that needed replacing, and insufficient bone volume for the placement of implants in certain regions of the jaw. These problems affected both his ability to chew and the overall appearance of his smile.
The complexity of the case required a personalised treatment plan, carried out in several stages. The reconstruction of the bone support and the replacement of the missing teeth were combined with the aesthetic restoration of the visible teeth, so that the final result would meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.

Cosmetic dental restorations using veneers and dental crowns
Ivoclar EMAX dental veneers
for the upper and lower front teeth. The restorations were customised to balance the shape, proportions and appearance of the smile, whilst maintaining a natural-looking result.
Ceramic crowns on implants
produced using CAD-CAM technology, on a zirconia framework. The restorations reconstructed the lateral areas and helped to achieve stable mastication.
Zirconia-supported ceramic crowns
manufactured using CAD-CAM computerised milling, on a zirconia substructure. These were integrated, both in terms of colour and function, into the prosthetic restoration as a whole.

Straumann dental implant treatment and bone restoration
Straumann® BLX-SLActive® dental implants
provided the necessary support for replacing missing teeth and restoring chewing function.
Sinus lift and bone reconstruction
In areas with insufficient bone volume, open sinus lifts and alveolar ridge reconstruction procedures were performed. Geistlich Bio-Oss® biomaterials and Geistlich Bio-Gide® membranes were used for bone augmentation.
