Philosophy

In the world of prosthodontics, every smile hides a unique story, and every patient brings with them the hope of a transformation. As a prosthodontist, I believe that every procedure is more than just a simple restoration of the teeth; it is an opportunity to restore confidence and the joy of a life filled with genuine smiles.

Interview with dr. Olga Bîrnaz

Three words that best describe you?

Patience, attention to detail and empathy.

What made you decide to specialise in Prosthodontics?

I chose Prosthodontics because I want to bring joy into people’s lives. A smile is a powerful expression of happiness, and helping people to smile with confidence is a key motivation for me.

What do you love most about your job?

Dentistry is not just a job for me; it is a passion that runs through every aspect of my life. What I love most about this profession is the opportunity to make a real difference in my patients’ lives. Every visit to my practice is not just a consultation; it is a journey on which we work together to create personalised solutions and restore confidence in each patient’s smile.

What are the most common conditions you treat?

The most common conditions I treat include partial or total tooth loss, which often requires restoration using dental crowns. Cases can range from individual dental crowns to restore affected teeth to complex dental implant treatments to replace missing teeth. For treatments involving implants, I benefit from close collaboration with Dr. Codruța Ciurescu, a Specialist in Dentoalveolar Surgery, who also acts as my mentor.

Which technology do you find most fascinating to use?

I am fascinated by the advanced technology of the intraoral scanner. This essential tool brings a number of significant benefits to my patients’ treatment experience, as it offers remarkable precision, eliminating the need for traditional impressions. Patients enjoy greater comfort, as there is no longer any need for unpleasant materials. The immediately available digital images speed up the planning and production of prosthetic work, leading to more efficient time management.

How do you tailor treatment plans to meet patients’ needs?

I use Modjaw 4D technology to create personalised treatment plans. This innovative technology provides a detailed analysis of the oral anatomy, giving me crucial information to tailor treatments to each patient’s specific needs.

Which of the technologies you use do you consider indispensable?

In the ever-evolving field of dentistry, digital technology plays a vital role. The intraoral scanner and Modjaw are indispensable tools, making a significant contribution to the production of prosthetic work of the highest standard of precision and efficiency.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?

I enjoy the simple things in life and spending time with my loved ones. Going for walks outdoors with friends always gives me a boost of positive energy. My passion for cooking and trying out new dessert recipes adds a touch of sweetness to my life, bringing me joy and a sense of well-being.
