A step-by-step treatment for a straight, full and harmonious smile
Georgeta P. wanted a more harmonious smile, as well as a permanent solution for her missing teeth. To achieve an aesthetic and functional result, Dr Adelina Budiș, the coordinating dentist for the case, devised a personalised plan, carried out in several stages.
The treatment began with aligning the teeth using fixed sapphire braces and continued with bone regeneration in the area of a missing tooth, the placement of two dental implants, and the restoration of the smile using EMAX veneers and ceramic crowns. Finally, the contact between the teeth was digitally checked to ensure that the new restorations integrated harmoniously and supported balanced chewing.
At the start of treatment, the patient had misaligned teeth, gaps left by missing teeth, and several teeth requiring treatment. These problems affected both the appearance of her smile and the way her dental arches aligned during chewing.
As each problem influenced the next stage, the treatment was carried out in a carefully planned sequence. First, the natural teeth were treated and aligned; then the edentulous areas were restored; and finally, the ceramic veneers and crowns were fitted. In this way, the aesthetic result was built on a healthy and functional foundation.
